It needs to be said.

I realise that parents are the fruit of all knowledge, that they are the bearer of fruit, that we must respect them. Its not that i don't appreciate everything they do for me, and lets be honest they do a fair amount. The one thing they do not appreciate is that a girl appreciates her own space. Some quiet time to revel in her own ness, without being spoken too like i am either the foundation of all knowledge or a treated and spoken to like i am 8 years old.

Two things here are clear,
1st and this one i hate to admit: i do not know everything.
and 2nd,it has been a long time since i have deserved to be spanked, sent to my room, or sent to bed without any supper. And another thing, being added in retrospect, one thing i despise about being at home is being forced to speak with relatives when i am really not in the mood, making nice when im in the mind set to be a grouchy bitch never did play well with me.

Still these are things i have to accept they are my parents, i have to accept their right to survival and no amount of teeth grinding will ever change that.

So this weekend has been all about my parents and saying goodbye before they disappear to Australia and New zealand for six weeks, lucky ********, it needed to be done as i hadn't seen them for six weeks before this and i feel kind of bad about that after they had just taken me on holiday to canada for eleven days, but even then i needed space which was very difficult to get in a room with only one window and two doors, no wonder i spent so much time in the toilet.

Last weekend is best forgotton, the less said about burger eating and sponges the better, although i think i did develop a better understanding of why our streets need to be cleaner, and how alka-seltzer is the best kept secret in this known universe for people who are stupid enough to drink too much.

And now to me, and to james,
As much as i love my job, and i do, i occasionally get itchy feet, however, i am pretty sure that this is due to the huge amount of stress that we are all under at the moment, everybody is sick, the patients are getting sicker, there are more and more of them as the expansion sets in and the number and calibre of new recruits they are, well recruiting is both too fast and too poor, its not safe and its not fair on the rest of us.
So the itchy feet part explained is that yet again i am beginning to look at what the world can offer me, more secifically New Zealand and Australia. As an itu nurse the world really is my oyster and i can honestly say it would be nice to see nursing from a different perspective, that is on the other side of the world.

Where does james fit into this?
At this moment in time james is undecide of where his fate at his current location lies, be it abroad, or at a new school, if he tries for head of year, head of department, whether or not he aims for the elusive tlr2, or even better progress leader. But then you throw in management courses and where are we, your head is spinning faster than a man who has cut off with a machete. Decisions need to be made, be them life changing decisions, or decisions that are safe. I am of the opinion that james is not stupid, i think he has already made his mind up and that he will stay where he is, in his comfort zone, where he knows the kids and they know and respect him.
Just so you know baby, you are my comfort zone, i will be happy whatever you decide to do, wherever you decide to go.
