Chrimbo without the boy.
May i start saying a merry christmas to all those couples out there who are sharing this festive season together, and at the same time bugger to you all!!!!! Not that im bitter or anything but not having the opportunity to share this time AGAIN with my boy has added a bitterness to my enjoyment. I can however say that i am glad to be spending this time witht the people i love, as for the last time in a while i shall be in devon for christmas, and that thought makes me sad. I am after all a 'home bird'. Time will tell, love will conquer all and i don't half talk a load of bollocks, but that shall be put down to the champagne cocktails!!!
So where are we? I am still awaiting my nurses registration, and despite multiple polite telephone conversations with the NZNC i still have got f****** no-where. Regardless i have purchased my ticket, without having a visa/permit or residency mostly due to the fact that flight prices are ever incrementing which is shit. I plan to leave on the 23rd of january with the boy, we shall however see what happens.
Another issue is where to live when we get there, a motel,b&B, htel/hostel will be the plan for the first few days then after that who knows. Apperently commuting out of the city is much less troubleseme that commuting into the city, infact i have been reliably informed that it is not possible. Still as james says we shall see when we get there. one of the many rants i shall have over the next month or so. Another being what we take with us both on the plane and on a cargo ship and oh i cannot be bothered its all to stressful, no-one is being very useful, james is although well meaning not much help and im just afraid that after xmas with me working till the 17th night shift that most of the phone calling, organising, packing will be left to me. If only santa could just click his fingers and it would be done.
Im petrified, yes its an adventure but its also on the other side of the world, uprooting, moving, leaving. Still as a great woman once said 'It will all come to pass.'
All my love and hugs and tidings for the new year, your ever devonshire girl,
The Hat. xx
